Actor Kim Soo-hyun is set to resume activities in Korea with his first domestic project in about a year since becoming embroiled in controversy. His return is drawing attention to the possible release of projects that had been put on hold. A representative from Kim's agency, Gold Medalist, said Monday that the actor is scheduled to film a commercial in Korea on July 14 for a Philippine fashion brand. The shoot will mark Kim's first public activity since March last year, when allegations emerged regarding his past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron. At the time, Kim faced accusations that he had dated Kim Sae-ron for six years beginning in 2015, when she was 15 years old, as well as claims that he pressured her over debt repayment. Kim denied the allegations during a press conference, saying that their relationship began only after she had reached adulthood.
