The reported death toll due to the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Sarangani has risen to 35, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said. Thirty-one fatalities were in Soccsksargen (Region 12) while four were in Davao (Region 11) as of 8 p.m. on June 8. There were also 144 injured,
