MANILA, Philippines – A magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck off the coast of Maasim, Sarangani, on Monday morning, triggering tsunami warnings, damaging infrastructure, disrupting power, communication and transportation services, and leaving casualties across several parts of Mindanao. Authorities continue to assess the extent of the damage as aftershocks persist and emergency response efforts remain underway.
