95K jobs up for Ggrabs as DOLE rolls out ‘Trabaho Agad’ across 55 sites

MANILA, Philippines — More than 95,000 job opportunities will be available to Filipino job seekers as the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) stages simultaneous nationwide job fairs in celebration of the country’s 128th Independence Day. The nationwide hiring initiative, dubbed DOLE Trabaho Agad (Job Fair), will be conducted across 55 venues beginning June 10 and culminating on Independence Day, June 12. Labor Secretary Francis N. Tolentino called on unemployed and underemployed Filipinos to take advantage of the program, which aims to connect workers with employers closer to their communities. Tolentino said the job fairs are strategically located in major malls and key areas nationwide to make employment services more accessible, convenient, and responsive to the needs of applicants. The labor chief stressed that the activity forms part of the administration’s broader effort under President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to expand access to decent work and help unemployed Filipinos re-enter the workforce. Around 1,181 local and overseas employers are expected to participate in the simultaneous job fairs organized by DOLE regional offices and Public Employment Service Offices (PESOs). These employers are offering a combined 95,240 vacancies across a wide range of industries, with the number of available jobs expected to grow further in the coming days. Among the sectors with the highest demand are retail, manufacturing, construction, business process outsourcing, and accommodation and food services. The most sought-after positions include sales clerks and store crew, production operators, construction workers, call center representatives, and service crew.
