He says people were targeted because of their background (he means race – but doesn’t say so explicitly), and says the government won’t tolerate this. He also condemns those who “encouraged” the disorder online. This seems like a clear reference to Elon Musk – although the PM does not refer to him by name. The scenes in Belfast last night were shocking and completely unacceptable.
