Morning of terror - One dead, five injured as gunman opens fire at multiple sites in central Israel

"Israeli security personnel and emergency responders rushed to the attack sites after gunmen opened fire at least three locations in central Israel, killing one man and injuring five. Footage shows a heavy security presence deployed at a gas station and McDonald's in Kochav Yair. The IDF said that a 'terrorist' had been neutralised by police near Tzur Yitzhak and that a vehicle linked to the attack had been apprehended. "The soldiers, together with additional medical personnel, began extensive searches for additional terrorists and are providing medical treatment to the injured," IDF said in its latest statement. Magen David Adom rescue service said a 35-year-old man died of gunshot wounds, whereas five others - two in serious condition and three in moderate condition - were being treated. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned the attack while praising local security teams and police officers for responding to it."
