'You will regret' - IRGC launches missiles at Haifa after Israeli strikes on Iranian petrochemical facility

"The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) released video on Monday showing missiles being launched towards Haifa in response to Israeli strikes on an Iranian petrochemical facility. Footage shows a message written on a missile in Persian, English and Hebrew, reading: 'You will regret'. The exact date and location of the footage released by the IRGC could not be independently verified. In a statement, the IRGC said: "The fighters of the IRGC Aerospace Force launched a missile strike against similar facilities in Haifa a few minutes ago, in response to the aggression carried out by the American-Zionist enemy against one of Iran’s petrochemical facilities." The Revolutionary Guards also warned that by "targeting civilian sites and oil-related infrastructure, the Zionist enemy has embarked on a dangerous course of action whose consequences could extend to all energy-related targets across the region. Responsibility for the resulting impact on the global economy lies with the principal instigator of these actions, the United States." The Israeli military said on Monday that its air force had carried out strikes on several targets at the petrochemical complex in Mahshahr, in southwestern Iran. The IDF also said it had "identified missiles launched from Iran toward the territory of the State of Israel. Defensive systems are operating to intercept the threat." The exchange came after Iran and Israel traded strikes, marking the most serious breach since a ceasefire came into effect in April. Earlier, the IRGC said it had targeted "the Ramat David Airbase using ballistic missiles," in response to what it called 'large-scale crimes' committed by Israel in southern Lebanon and Beirut’s southern suburbs. The IRGC described the operation as a 'warning', threatening a "much broader response if such violations are repeated." The IDF said it had detected missiles launched from Iran, adding that all of them had been intercepted. Speaking to the media, US President Donald Trump said he would call Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to urge him "not to respond to Iranian missile attacks," adding: "I don't want this to derail the agreement. Both sides have attacked, and I don't want to see another attack." Earlier, Netanyahu ordered an airstrike on Hezbollah's 'central headquarters' in the southern suburbs of Beirut in response to fire directed at Israeli territory. The latest escalation follows months of heightened tensions after joint US-Israeli military operations against Iran on February 28. Missile exchanges have continued since then, raising fears of a wider regional conflict, before a tentative ceasefire was announced in April and diplomatic efforts resumed."
