International entities vow aid for Mindanao earthquake victims

MANILA, Philippines — Different international entities, among them the United Nations and the United States, have extended their sympathy and vowed assistance for the victims of the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Sarangani province on Monday morning, which already left at least 19 individuals dead. In a statement on Monday, the UN in the Philippines said it is assessing the impact of the major tremor in Mindanao and is ready to support the government’s response and recovery efforts.  “In moments of crisis, unity and compassion are our greatest strengths.
