Mindanao earthquake death toll rises to 45 – NDRRMC

MANILA, Philippines — The number of reported deaths due to the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck parts of southern Mindanao on Monday rose to 45, with 487 reported injured while 17 others remain missing, authorities said. According to the latest situational report of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) shared with the media at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, 33 deaths were recorded in the Soccsksargen region (Region 12) and 12 in the Davao Region (Region 11).
