MANILA, Philippines — Abandoned onions from China worth over P86.6 million that were already unfit for consumption were discovered by the Bureau of Customs (BOC), the agency said on Wednesday. According to the BOC, the 26 containers of fresh red onions contained 72,215 bags of abandoned goods, weighing 650,000.
