CEBU CITY, Philippines — Central Visayas has 2,683 monitored child labor cases as of May 2026, according to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE). The region also has 1,856 profiled child labor cases in the same period, based on figures presented during a Kapihan sa PIA forum on Wednesday, June 10. World Day Against Child Labor will coincide with Philippine Independence Day on Friday, June 12.
