Arms production tour - Kim Jong Un inspects munitions factory as DPRK continues 'war readiness' push *STILLS*

"Supreme Leader of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un inspected a major munitions industrial enterprise, as the country continues to emphasise military production under its defence priorities. Still images released by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) on Sunday show Kim walking along production lines and examining munitions inside a weapons factory. The exact date and location of the images could not be independently verified. The visit comes as the DPRK has intensified efforts in recent years to expand and modernise its weapons manufacturing capabilities. State media said these inspections are meant to improve 'war readiness' and strengthen military power. In May, Kim Jong Un urged the rapid modernisation of weapons production to meet the demands of the national armed forces as he inspected several munitions factories. The recent tours come as the DPRK continues its implementation of the five-year defence development plan (2026–2030), centered on expanding nuclear and missile capabilities."
