Columns of smoke rise from the city of Tyre as Israeli military operations continue in southern Lebanon.

"Footage from the city of Tyre in southern Lebanon on Monday showed plumes of smoke rising from the areas of Al-Burj Al-Shamali, Maashouq, and Al-Sama'iya due to Israeli airstrikes. For its part, the National News Agency reported an airstrike on the Al-Burj Al-Shamali camp neighborhood, the main street, "which led to the destruction of a house," and ambulances and rescue vehicles rushed to the site of the strike. It also confirmed that the town of Al-Sama'iya was subjected to an airstrike and noted "the fall of a martyr and several injuries due to the Israeli strike on Al-Khuraib." The Emergency Health Operations Center of the Ministry of Public Health announced in a statement on Sunday that the cumulative total of Israeli attacks from March 2 to June 7 has risen to "3,613 martyrs and 11,072 injured." In contrast, the Israeli army did not comment on these specific raids but consistently affirms its operations south of the Litani River with the aim of "destroying Hezbollah's capabilities," and has issued several warnings to evacuate "all residents south of the Zahrani River." This coincides with the return of military tension between Iran and Israel, after both sides exchanged missile strikes for the first time since the ceasefire announced in April. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said it targeted the "Ramat David" airbase in response to Israeli operations in Lebanon, while the Israeli army announced it detected and intercepted missiles launched from Iran, coinciding with the sound of sirens in several areas. US President Donald Trump renewed on Monday his call for Israel and Iran to immediately ceasefire and contain the escalation. Later, the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters announced the suspension of its military operations, confirming that any new Israeli targeting of Lebanon or its south will be met with a response. These developments come after the war that broke out on February 28 following a joint US-Israeli attack on Iran, followed by an exchange of attacks between the two parties. Despite reaching a truce in April to allow for diplomatic efforts, the recent strikes have raised fears of renewed military escalation in the region."
