An anti-immigration protest called March for Australia is set to take place in cities across the country on Sunday. Follow today’s news live Get our breaking news email , free app or daily news podcast The Victorian premier, Jacinta Allan , has used a speech on the eve of the March for Australia to condemn those who “walk with Nazis” and express concern about the anti-immigration protest. Allan, speaking at the Premier’s annual multicultural gala on Saturday night, said that even children who saw the march on the television news would know “it’s not a very Australian march at all” because “it just won’t look like the Australia they know”. Allen said: Australia isn’t a place where we spread hate and fear about foreigners…Australia is a nation of foreigners. And Australia isn’t a place where we walk with Nazis…Australia is a place that went to war with Nazis. And the Australian flag is a symbol of our victory and their defeat. Make no mistake – I am concerned about tomorrow’s march…but I’m not afraid. We should look out for one another…but we should not be scared.
