"Long queues formed at Israel's main international airport in Tel Aviv on Monday after some airlines cancelled their flight operations due to missile exchanges between Israel and Iran since late Sunday night. Footage shows passengers queueing at check-in counters at the airport, while families can be seen greeting loved ones who arrived at the airport. Passengers on a flight arriving from the US described panic and confusion on board after reports of Iran launching missiles emerged. "They hear in the news [...] they wanted to get off the plane. So we stayed more than half an hour until we knew what's going on," said a 76-year-old passenger, Rivka, who was aboard the flight. Another traveller on the flight claimed 'more than half' the passengers evacuated the scheduled flight after sirens confirmed the threat. "During the waiting time for takeoff, the plane began to warm the engines, and suddenly there was a rampage. Crazy hysteria," said David Arvili from Miami. Israel's Transport Minister Miri Regev said authorities are conducting a 'situational assessment' of the situation, adding that airspace remains open and flights are proceeding as usual at Ben Gurion Airport. "Professional discussions are underway following the Home Front Command's request to limit the number of people present in the Ben Gurion Airport area to 2,500 individuals," Regev said. According to media reports, budget airline Wizz Air has suspended its operations until Tuesday. On late Sunday, Iran launched multiple missile attacks towards northern Israel for the first time since April. Israel retaliated by carrying out air strikes in western and central Iran. Both sides have agreed to halt the attacks after US President Donald Trump's directives. Monday also marks the 100th day of the very first US and Israeli attacks on Iran in February that drew the wider region into conflict."
