MUNTINLUPA City will begin distributing its free Balik Eskwela Packages to public school students next week after the city government finalized the distribution process based on actual enrollment figures. Mayor Ruffy Biazon said Wednesday, June 10, that the delay was made to ensure that all enrolled students would receive the packages and prevent errors in distribution. Biazon said the city initially aimed to release the packages before the opening of classes but adjusted the timeline because student enrollment was still changing, with some learners being added or transferred to other schools. “Because the number of packages to be distributed to each school is based on the actual enrollment, it is also important that the enrollment of the students is finalized first. In this way, we can ensure that the number of packages is correct, and no one will be left behind,” Biazon said. The city government has already coordinated with public school principals and the Schools Division Office of Muntinlupa for the schedule and guidelines of the distribution. Biazon assured parents that all students enrolled in Muntinlupa’s public schools will receive the free Balik Eskwela Package. Class advisers will inform students and parents about the specific distribution schedule for their respective classes, according to the mayor. The mayor apologized for the delay but assured residents that the quality of the packages was carefully considered before distribution.
