MANILA, Philippines — Muntinlupa City will begin distributing its free Balik Eskwela Packages to public school students next week after the city government finalized the distribution process based on actual enrollment figures. Mayor Ruffy Biazon said on Wednesday, June 10, that the delay was necessary to ensure all enrolled students receive the packages and to avoid distribution errors. The city had initially planned to distribute the packages before the opening of classes. However, the timeline was adjusted as enrollment figures continued to change due to student transfers and late enrollees. “Because the number of packages to be distributed to each school is based on the actual enrollment, it is important that enrollment is finalized first. This way, we can ensure the correct number of packages is delivered and no student is left behind,” Biazon said. The city government has coordinated with public school principals and the Schools Division Office of Muntinlupa on the distribution schedule and guidelines. Biazon assured parents that all students enrolled in Muntinlupa public schools will receive a free Balik Eskwela Package. Class advisers will inform students and parents of their respective distribution schedules. The mayor also apologized for the delay, assuring residents that the quality of the packages was carefully considered before distribution.
