MANILA, Philippines — The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) reported a strong start to 2026 based on its preliminary collection performance, with net collections of P530.055 billion from January 1 to February 28, 2026. This not only surpassed the Bureau’s internal collection goal of P527.775 billion by P2.280 billion, or 0.43 percent, net of tax refunds, but also showed a P15.307 billion increase compared to the PHP 514.748 billion collected during the same period in 2025.
