Three teenage girls, the youngest 14, were caught speeding along an Auckland motorway overnight following an altercation with a man in a South Auckland suburb. Police said they are making inquiries into the incident after a vehicle was taken from the Manurewa area early this morning. About 2am, a man was travelling in his vehicle with a group of three young women aged 14 to 18. “They had parked in the Manurewa area, when an altercation has occurred between the group. “Eventually, all three passengers left the area in the man’s vehicle, and police were contacted,” a police spokesperson said. The vehicle was spotted by police travelling at speed heading west on the southwestern motorway. Police said they successfully deployed spikes after the vehicle left the motorway. Eventually, the vehicle came to a stop on Don Buck Rd in Massey. Police caught three teenage girls speeding along an Auckland motorway following an altercation with a man. Police said all three people were taken into custody without further incident. Police inquiries will continue.
