MANILA, Philippines – A total of 16,660 Filipinos have been provided on-site assistance amid the escalations in the Middle East, Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Sec. Hans Leo Cacdac said on Tuesday. Cacdac shared the updated figures before the Senate Proactive Response and Oversight for Timely and Effective Crisis Strategy (Protect) Committee hearing. “Thus far, we have served 16,660 people who needed on-site assistance,” Cacdac told the panel.
