MANILA, Philippines — Diesel, which for the longest time had been cheaper than gasoline in the Philippines, has already become costlier fuel than the two, and this has been jarring for jeepney and delivery truck drivers on their trips to fuel stations. Local diesel prices have surged by as much as P49.35 per liter versus P31.5 for gasoline during the period of March 3 to March 17.
