DILG: Most PH drug rings led by Chinese nationals linked to Pogos

TRECE MARTIRES CITY, Cavite — Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla on Tuesday said most drug syndicates active in the Philippines were led by Chinese nationals connected to Philippine offshore gaming operators (Pogos). “Those Pogos became a plague on the Philippines. Everything illegal from 2016 to 2025, until now, we’re paying for the effects of those Pogos,” Remulla, speaking Filipino, told reporters in a briefing in this city.
