PNP deploys over 2,200 personnel for Asean forum in Boracay

MANILA, Philippines — Over 2,200 law enforcers have been deployed to secure the 44th Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Capital Markets Forum on Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said on Tuesday. In a statement, the PNP said it deployed 1,720 police officers for the event, supported by 528 personnel from an inter-agency sub-site task group on emergency preparedness and response.
