The OnePlus 15T has been announced in its native China, offering a premium compact smartphone package with some truly eyebrow-raising specifications (in the best possible way). Recent reports have placed the future of Oppo’s OnePlus sub-brand in doubt , but it’s seemingly intent on going down swinging with the OnePlus 15T if those rumours are true. The company has announced a phone that features a 6.32-inch 1.5K OLED LTPO display, with a 1800 nits peak brightness and a variable refresh rate ranging from 1 to 165Hz. It’ll only hit that maximum rate in certain games, however. Talking of games, the phone apparently features a “Wind Chaser Gaming” kernel that’s capable of yielding an impressive AnTuTu score of 4,450,000 points. To help achieve that, it’ll pack the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor as its OnePlus 15 brother. This will be backed by up to 16GB of LPDDR5x Ultra Pro RAM, and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage. OnePlus Even more impressively, the OnePlus 15T packs in a huge 7500mAh SiC battery, which is even larger than the OnePlus 15’s 7300 cell. Remember that this is a relatively compact phone we’re talking about here, with dimensions of 150.56 x 71.82 x 8.48mm and a weight of around 194g. The Google Pixel 10 Pro and the Samsung Galaxy S26 would probably be feeling insecure right now, if it weren’t for OnePlus’s weirdly limited launch plans (more on which later). Impressive specs continue The charging provision extends to 100W wired and 50W – the latter standing as a noteworthy upgrade on the OnePlus 13T, which skipped wireless charging altogether. OnePlus is staying premium with the 15T’s design. Its screen bezels are a uniform 1.1mm all the way around, while the phone also boasts a comprehensive batch of water resistance ratings: IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K. You only get the two cameras around back, but both are 50Mp. Other than a 50Mp f/1.8 wide camera, there’s a 3.5x f/2.4 telephoto with up to 7x lossless digital zoom. It’s powered by OnePlus’s LUMO imaging engine. There’s a 16-megapixel f/2.4 camera on selfie duty. The OnePlus 15T ships with Android 16 and ColorOS 16 in a choice of three colours: Relaxing Matcha, Pure Cocoa, and Healing White Chocolate. It goes on sale in China on 25 March (that’s tomorrow) at a starting price of CNY 4,299 (about £466/$624 converted). We’ll keep you posted on pricing and wider availability, but we’re not expecting to see this one outside of China (apart from as a possible 15s version in India perhaps). Your best alternative for a slightly cheaper OnePlus phone in 2026 could be the OnePlus Nord 6 , which might not be as impressive, but could pack an even bigger battery.
