"An Israeli airstrike targeting the Al-Amana fuel station in the southern Lebanese city of Nabatieh on Tuesday has left the facility and its surrounding area in ruins, amid a sharp escalation in fighting between Israel and Hezbollah. Footage shows extensive damage to the pumps and surrounding infrastructure, with the filling station reduced to rubble. Large craters mark the impact site where the missile struck, underscoring the force of the blast. Israeli warplanes struck three fuel stations operated by Al-Amanah company in southern Lebanon on Monday night, setting them ablaze, according to Lebanon's National News Agency. Last week, Israeli military spokesperson Avichay Adraee confirmed that the army had attacked several Al-Amanah fuel stations in southern Lebanon, claiming they 'fund' Hezbollah and constitute 'key economic infrastructure' for the group. Since the conflict began, Israel has carried out strikes on Lebanese institutions it says are linked to Hezbollah, including the Al-Qard Al-Hasan financial association. The 2024 war between Israel and Hezbollah lasted roughly a year before a ceasefire was reached. But tensions have flared again with Israel launching a new military operation earlier this month, following Hezbollah's entry into the US-Israeli conflict with Iran. Lebanon's Health Ministry reported the latest hostilities have killed 1,029 people and injured 2,786 at the time of publication."
