"US Central Command on Wednesday said its forces had carried out strikes against what it described as 'the Iranian regime's military infrastructure and capabilities' it said had been threatening US troops and regional partners. Footage released by CENTCOM purportedly shows an aerial bombardment by the US Airforce in Iran, although the date and location of the footage could not be independently verified. On Tuesday, US President Donald Trump said he was negotiating with ‘the right people’ in Iran, a claim denied by Tehran. This comes as several regional countries, including Pakistan, Turkey and Egypt are making attempts to mediate between the sides. According to media reports, a US 15-point proposal was forwarded through Pakistan to Iran. Iranian state television quoted a senior political-security official as stating that Tehran had ‘responded negatively’ to the American proposal, adding ‘Iran will end the war when it decides to do so and when its own conditions are met.’"
