The pastor at Christ Church Haywards Heath Graham Nicholls has accused Dame Sarah Mullally's installation as the first female Archbishop of Canterbury of "box-ticking". Discussing the historic moment today, the pastor told GB News: "I think the emphasis was in the wrong place. "Obviously, there's nothing wrong with African dancers and people reading the Gospel in Spanish, but I think the emphasis of the whole ceremony and the whole process about kind of ticking the box and saying, 'it's so wonderful that it's a woman'. "What I'm interested is the Church. "What does it have to say to the nation to give us hope in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ as the way to God?" In agreement, presenter Patrick Christys added: "I worry that people see this stuff and are laughing at it actually, but also fundamentally turned off from this version of Christianity."
