CEBU CITY, Philippines — Pope Leo XIV has appointed Rev. Fr. Gerardo Fortich Saco Jr. as the eighth bishop of the Diocese of Tagbilaran. Fr. Saco, who currently serves as diocesan administrator, succeeds Alberto “Abet” Sy Uy, who has been assigned to the Archdiocese of Cebu.
