CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro — Residents of this city are warned of mounting health risks as the heat index soared to a sweltering 41 degrees Celsius on Thursday morning, prompting local disaster officials to raise an “extreme caution” advisory. Data from the Calapan City Public Market monitoring station recorded the peak value at 11 a.m, according to the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Department (CDRRMD).
