PM says Korea seeks to strengthen industrial, technological cooperation with China

Prime Minister Kim Min-seok said Thursday that Korea seeks to promote industrial and technological cooperation with China as part of efforts to help the economies of both countries, as well as the rest of the world. Kim made the remark in a virtual keynote speech to the Boao Forum for Asia held in China's Boao, Hainan Province, citing the need for not only Korea and China but all countries in Asia to come together in the face of uncertainty and challenges stemming from wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, as well as technological innovation, supply chain restructuring and demographic changes. "As (Chinese) President Xi Jinping has stressed, China is pursuing a high degree of opening up to the outside world and creating cooperation hubs in the form of industrial cooperation complexes in places such as Changchun, Hainan and Yantai," the prime minister said.
