BACOLOD CITY—A transportation strike that failed to cripple public transportation here ended before noon on Thursday. There were about 500 drivers and operators who gathered at five rally centers to demand government action against rising fuel prices brought on by unrest in the Middle East, said Eric Bendoy, secretary-general of the United Negros Drivers and Operators Center-Pagkakaisa ng mga Samahan ng Tsuper at Opereytor Nationwide (UNDOC-PISTON).
