Mandaue police on full alert for transport strike, Holy Week

MANDAUE CITY, Cebu – Mandaue police will be on full alert status while monitoring the nationwide transport strike on Friday and the upcoming Holy Week. According to Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO spokesperson Police Lieutenant Colonel Mercy Villaro-Kantuna, police personnel have been deployed along streets and areas where transport strike rallies or gatherings are expected.  The nationwide transport strike began on Thursday, March 26, in line with the rising petroleum prices linked to tensions in the Middle East.
