4th Pakistani national killed in UAE due to ‘falling debris’ from missile interception

Another Pakistani national was among two people killed in Abu Dhabi after falling debris from a successfully intercepted ballistic missile struck Sweihan Street, authorities and media reports said. According to the Abu Dhabi Media Office, the incident occurred following the interception of a missile by air defence systems, resulting in two deaths, three injuries, and damage to several vehicles. The victims were initially unidentified. However, the UAE media reports claimed that the deceased included a Pakistani and an Indian national. Emergency services responded swiftly, while authorities urged the public to rely only on official sources and avoid spreading unverified information. The Embassy of Pakistan in the UAE later confirmed the death of the Pakistani national, expressing deep sorrow and extending condolences to the bereaved family. The latest incident adds to a series of similar fatalities involving Pakistani nationals in the UAE amid ongoing regional tensions. On March 17, a Pakistani national was killed due to falling debris following a missile interception. Earlier, on March 8, a Pakistani driver died when debris from an aerial interception hit a vehicle in Dubai’s Al Barsha area. Another Pakistani national, identified as Mureed Zaman, was killed in a similar incident in Abu Dhabi on February 28 , the day the conflict began following strikes involving the United States and Israel against Iran.
