As thousands of Trump’s biggest fans headed to Texas for the annual conservative jamboree that has become synonymous with Trumpism, the White House confirmed to the Daily Beast that the president was unable to attend this year due to the conflict and “other critical issues”. “Of course we’d love to see him again,” three-time CPAC attendee Blake Zummo said when asked about the president’s absence this year, “but he has our best interests at heart.” Read more at The Daily Beast.
