Public anger still growing despite fewer sewage spills in 2025

The number of untreated sewage spills into England’s rivers, lakes and seas went down by more than a third last year, but the main reason though was not what many environmental campaigners might have hoped, and not necessarily because water companies have been successfully preventing them.
