Green groups cite Canada trash fiasco in opposing Cuna’s DENR appointment

MANILA, Philippines — Environmental groups are questioning the appointment of Juan Miguel Cuna as acting secretary of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR), citing his past involvement in the Canada trash shipment fiasco and urging greater accountability as he takes the agency’s top post.
