No remuneration admissible to any board members in Punjab

LAHORE: As a part of current austerity drive, the Punjab government has decided to abolish remuneration for board members of government, semi-government and autonomous institutions. Sources said that no board fee will be paid to any member including government and private members on the board of directors, governing bodies of all public sector companies, statutory bodies, semi- autonomous, autonomous bodies, special institutions under the control of the Punjab government including the Bank of Punjab and the Punjab Provincial Cooperative Bank Limited for attending their board meetings.
