The deadline for the submission of tender applications to operate and manage Kai Tak Cruise Terminal has been extended by more than a month from May 22 to June 26, the government announced on Friday. A spokesperson for the Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau (CSTB) said the extension had been granted to give potential operators more time to prepare tender documents. "The CSTB has decided to extend the tender closing date in response to prospective tenderers' requests to the Government for more time to prepare the tender documents, in view of the consolidation of the management scope the terminal operator is responsible for and the introduction of new Key Performance Indicators under the tenancy agreement of this tender," the spokesperson said. The tenancy agreement with the current terminal operator will expire on May 31, 2028.
