TACLOBAN CITY — At least five gasoline stations in Eastern Samar have halted operations amid the ongoing fuel supply crisis, as the Philippine National Police in Eastern Visayas stepped up its monitoring of fuel price compliance among retailers. Lt. Col. Analiza Armeza, spokesperson for Police Regional Office-8 (PRO-8), said three of the closures were directly linked to the province’s fuel shortage; the remaining two stations stopped operations for unrelated reasons, including renovations and the relocation of an owner to Manila.
