Fighting continues - Gunfire heard in Khiyam amid Israeli ground operations in southern Lebanon

"Alleged Israeli forces were seen operating inside Khiyam town in southern Lebanon.  Footage shows two excavators - purportedly belonging to Israel - operating near damaged homes, while automatic gunfire is clearly audible.  Hezbollah said its fighters attacked Israeli forces in and around the town of Khiyam on Thursday. The IDF announced that its forces conducted ground operations in southern Lebanon in addition to strikes. "In recent days, IDF troops of the 162nd Division have begun targeted ground activities against additional targets in southern Lebanon, alongside the 91st, and 36th Divisions," a statement read. The US and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28. Tehran responded with strikes on Israel and US assets in the region, with the conflict now into its fourth week. Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon have also traded cross-border strikes."
