Coalition calls for fuel excise cuts to alleviate pressure at the pumps

A cut to the fuel excise is among the options the government has on the table to offer temporary relief from petrol price rises. Over the last week, prices rose across Australia's five largest cities an average 18 cents a litre for petrol, and more than 28 cents for diesel.
