"One thousand two hundred fifty synchronized drones lit up the sky of Marina Puerto Cancun on Monday night in a free aerial show that set a new national record, in front of hundreds of families, tourists, and residents. During the flight, the drones executed formations that brought to life figures such as soccer players, the Mexican flag, and the name of Cancun, in an event that also included references to Mayan culture and the marine fauna of the Mexican Caribbean. Among the images was also a dolphin and the legend in English "Are we in the future?" The governor of Quintana Roo, Mara Lezama, celebrated the event on social media and highlighted Cancun's positioning as a leader in entertainment technology. So far, no other state in Mexico had conducted a drone show of this magnitude, although the world record in this category is much higher, with 20,000 units flying simultaneously."
