Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater at the Actor Awards in 2025 Ethan Slater has shown his support to his rumoured ex Ariana Grande , amid reports that the two are no longer together. On Monday, TMZ was the first outlet to report that Ethan and Ariana had parted ways after three years together, citing “sources close to the former couple” who insisted that the supposed break-up was “amicable” and that the former Wicked co-stars are still close. Since then, Page Six and People magazine published stories based on their own “sources”, alleging that the pair’s supposed split actually happened several months ago, and reiterating that it was a friendly one. While both parties are currently remaining tight-lipped on the split speculation, Ethan did back up claims that he and Ariana were still on good terms with a low-key gesture on social media earlier this week. After she kicked off her long-awaited Eternal Sunshine tour, Page Six spotted that Ethan had liked an Instagram post by Ariana shared on the same day that headlines about their break-up first emerged. Ariana Grande and Ethan Slater pictured in the audience of last year's Oscars “It feels impossible to find the words at this time … so for now, just thank you. From the bottom of my heart,” Ariana captioned her post, the morning after her first Eternal Sunshine show . She added: “I love you all more than words can ever possibly say. And I missed you. Thank you.” Ethan and Ariana met on the set of Wicked in 2022. When the two were first rumoured to be dating in 2023, it sparked a media frenzy as they had both been married to other people when filming on Wicked began . It’s unclear exactly when they became an item, but sources have previously insisted that it wasn’t until after they’d both separated from their respective spouses. Ariana is due to bring her Eternal Sunshine tour to the UK later this year, with a whopping 10 nights at London’s O2 Arena spread across August and September.
