No classes, gov’t work in NCR, 14 provinces on Sept. 1 due to rains

MANILA, Philippines — Classes and government work in the National Capital Region (NCR) and 14 provinces were suspended on Monday, September 1, due to heavy rainfall, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced. MANILA, Philippines — Two low pressure areas (LPAs) were spotted inside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), but neither is expected to develop into a tropical cyclone, the state weather bureau said on Sunday.
