EAST HAMPTON, N.Y. – Alec Baldwin and his younger brother Stephen escaped injury when their vehicle struck a tree in New York. In a video posted to Instagram late Monday, Alec Baldwin said he was driving his wife's Range Rover in East Hampton on Monday when he was cut off by a garbage truck "the size of a whale." MANILA, Philippines — Senate President Tito Sotto III on Wednesday said he is ready "anytime" to share his Statement of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALN) to the public. He said he would ask his fellow senators if they too would like to open their SALNs to the public. The Office of the Ombudsman on Tuesday announced the reopening of public access to the SALN of public officials to promote transparency. Sotto said he would conduct a caucus to discuss the matter with his colleagues. "I will seek their permission. [Insofar as I'm concerned] anytime [I'm] ready," Sotto said in a text message. "When I was SP (Senate President) before, we allowed the access to the SALNs of the senators subject to their individual approval and so this is not new to us," he said. "The only variation is we redact the addresses of their properties," the Senate chief added. Senate Secretary Renato Bantug Jr. said the senators do not submit their SALNs to the Ombudsman. "The OSEC (Office of Senate Secretary) is the repository of the SALN of senators," Bantug said. Any request for senators' SALNs should be submitted to OSEC, he added.
