KPop Demon Hunters Star Makes New Song For Dead By Daylight

KPop Demon Hunters Star Makes New Song For Dead By Daylight

Dead by Daylight has released its latest update, All-Kill: Comeback, expanding the game's K-pop-inspired horror chapter with new music, gameplay changes, and additional content, including an original song titled "No Escape," written and performed by Kevin Woo (Mystery from KPop Demon Hunters). Woo's involvement in Dead by Daylight extends beyond the soundtrack--he also contributed as a consultant and voices the new Survivor character Kwon Tae-young. You can listen to the song in the video below. "Creating music for All-Kill: Comeback was a chance to bring everything full circle, in a way," Woo said in a statement. "All-Kill has always lived at the intersection of K-pop and horror, and writing a song for it let me explore that contrast in a really fun way that fit well with the game's themes. Getting to be first a consultant, then a voice actor, and now a musician on this release has been a blast." Continue Reading at GameSpot

A PlayStation Portal update is adding a 1080p High Quality mode

A PlayStation Portal update is adding a 1080p High Quality mode

Sony is rolling out a firmware update for its PlayStation Portal handheld that introduces a new quality option for both Remote Play and Cloud Streaming. Choosing the 1080p High Quality mode means that you’ll be able to stream games at a higher bitrate compared with the 1080p Standard option. You can switch to this mode by going to Quick Menu > Max Resolution and picking 1080p High Quality while you’re playing a game. You’ll need to restart your game session for the change to take effect. Naturally, 1080p High Quality will use more data than the other resolution options. Sony says that more than half of all Portal users are now PlayStation Plus Premium subscribers, meaning they can use the Cloud Streaming option on the device. With that in mind, the company is making some Cloud Streaming changes as part of this firmware update. The company says it has refined the search screen — from now on, whenever you open this up, the on screen keyboard will pop up immediately. That’s a nice little quality-of-life update that streamlines things a bit. When you pick the “stream" option on pages for game bundles (i.e. for any title that includes multiple games), you’ll be able to select a specific game to jump into. Sony Interactive Entertainment There are notification changes too. If you receive a game invite while playing a supported title, you’ll now see a clear notification on your screen. Trophy notifications should now display properly too, with the trophy name and image showing up. Unlocking a platinum trophy will cause an animated notification to appear. There’s one more tweak to the system with this Portal update as Sony attempts to make the onboarding experience a bit smoother. Those who pick up a Portal but don’t already have a PlayStation account will be able to create one and then sign in on the handheld by scanning a QR code on their mobile device. Such folks will still need to have access to a PS5 or sign up for PS Plus Premium to actually get any use out of the Portal, of course. Noctua’s first PC case is big, brown, and pricey

Noctua’s first PC case is big, brown, and pricey

Brown. Brown. Brown! That appears to be the most iconic part of German cooling company Noctua’s brand identity—and it works, or at least it creates some distinction in conjunction with great hardware focused on quiet cooling. Noctua’s latest collaboration is with old-school enclosure company Antec, and the Noctua Edition of the Flux Pro case is now available for a hefty $400 USD. Compared to the standard edition Flux Pro, the Noctua variant is… well, brown. Chocolatey accents adorn the mesh panels on the top and cover the PSU on the side, plus the silicone panels and fan brackets on the interior. The walnut wood frame around the front panel, while very nice, is already a feature on the $180 standard edition . It does have a little extra “Antec x Noctua” branding bling, though. The upgraded PC case also gets no less than six Noctua fans, replacing all six on the standard edition with Noctua NF-A14x25 G2 and NF-A12x25 G2 models. Noctua also throws in its NA-FH1 fan controller hub. Promotional materials insist that this makes the case “significantly quieter when operating at the same flow rates,” but specifics aren’t listed… and I hasten to add that, since the Flux Pro already includes six fans and a controller, you aren’t technically adding any extra functionality, all for more than double the price. The Flux Pro is a massive E-ATX airflow case with a mix of mesh and glass panels, support for pretty much any cooling and radiator configuration you could ask for (up to 420mm), and some interesting features like a 90-degree turn for the power supply that makes it easier to reach from behind the motherboard. It gets hardware displays for GPU and CPU temperature, vertical GPU mounting, tons of cable routing, and can house up to four 3.5-inch storage drives and a GPU with a maximum length of 455mm. It’s big, is what I’m saying here. If the Noctua Edition of the case is catching your eye, you may want to get an order in quickly . Even with its premium pricing, Noctua collaborations ( like these graphics cards in the recent past) tend to sell out as brand-loyal buyers snatch them up.
