How to fix Microsoft Edge not opening

How to fix Microsoft Edge not opening

Today I’m going to show you how to fix a common problem with Microsoft Edge: that is the browser not opening or not responding when you click on it. It’s a simple thing but it can be extremely frustrating when the browser won’t open. So, here’s how to fix it. What to do: First, right-click the Windows logo on the Taskbar and select Settings . On the left panel click Apps . Then click Installed apps . Here you need to search for Edge, so go ahead and type in “Edge”. When Microsoft Edge appears, click the three dots to the right and select modify . A message will pop up. Just click Yes . This will start repairing your Edge browser. Then click Repair when prompted. The app will start downloading and then it’ll automatically install. Wait until the end for the process to finish. Your app should now be fixed. Dominic Bayley / Foundry I hope that’s fixed the problem with your Edge browser. You can always repeat the process if the app becomes unresponsive again. That’s all we have for this tip. How much RAM will I need in my laptop? You’ll want at least 8GB, though 16GB is preferable, especially if you play games. Don’t buy laptops with under 4GB of RAM or 128GB of SSD storage—though on a Chromebook or a budget Windows machine, this configuration is acceptable. Check out our article on how much RAM does a laptop need for more in-depth info. 2. What’s the difference between a Chromebook and a Windows laptop? The one big difference between a Chromebook and a Windows laptop is the operating system. Chromebooks run ChromeOS and Windows run, well, Microsoft Windows. Chromebooks make good everyday machines because they’re designed for browsing the web, checking e-mail, and so on. They use less resources and are generally more affordable than the Windows variety. They also don’t need antivirus protection. A Windows laptop is a lot more versatile in what it can do, and not just in terms of running local programs. You can really pump a Windows laptop up with a ton of RAM, storage, and so on. 3. When should I look for a laptop deal? You’ll likely find the best laptop deals during Prime Day (mid-July), Black Friday (the day after Thanksgiving), and back-to-school season (June-August). Sure, you’ll find good laptop deals throughout the year, but if you really want to save big, we’d recommend scoping out your favorite online retailers during those times. 4. Which retailers offer the best deals? You can find all kinds of deals across a wide range of online retailers such as Newegg , Walmart , Best Buy , Amazon , and so on. However, we’d recommend checking out deals from laptop manufacturers like Lenovo , HP , and Dell . You’ll usually find many different configurations on sale and the discounts can be pretty darn steep. For more options, check out PCWorld’s roundup of the best laptops available right now.

Tim Cook slammed for attending 'Melania' screening on night of Alex Pretti killing

Apple CEO Tim Cook attended a private White House screening of a documentary about Melania Trump, and the timing of the event has seen him facing a vitriolic backlash from critics and customers. Melania Trump at the White House screening of her film — image credit: Melania Trump It's been the cost of doing business during the Trump Administration — Tim Cook has personally contributed to the new White House ballroom , for instance. He's also presented the President with a gold trophy , ostensibly awarded for Trump inspiring more US investment when in actuality it was business as usual for Apple. So Tim Cook being included in the guest list of the latest Trump event, or even really being required to attend, should not be a surprise. That the event was the screening of what's said to be a sycophantic documentary about First Lady Melania Trump, should even make people sympathetic to Cook.
