Pakistan flies in - Prime Minister Sharif lands in Tianjin ahead of 25th SCO summit

"Prime Minister of Pakistan Shahbaz Sharif arrived in Tianjin on Saturday to take part in the high-stakes Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit. Footage shows the Pakistan Air Force One taxing at Tianjin Airport. Dignitaries, including Prime Minister Sharif and senior ministers, disembark from the aircraft and are greeted by Chinese officials. PM in his post on X earlier announced plans to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss 'strengthening regional cooperation, enhancing trade ties, and improving security partnerships'. The 25th meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the SCO, chaired by Chinese President Xi Jinping, is scheduled to take place from August 31 through September 1. The upcoming meeting promises to be the largest in history. Leaders from more than 20 countries and representatives of international organizations have confirmed their participation. They will discuss economic co-operation on technology, innovation and artificial intelligence, as well as issues of regional security and sustainable development. The SCO brings together 10 member states, 14 dialogue partners and two observer countries. China also holds its landmark 80th anniversary Victory Parade in Beijing on September 3, attended by many world leaders and dignitaries."
