'We have it all!' - Kenyan fans ask to host AFCON 2027 at packed Nairobi stadium as Morocco beat Madagascar 3-2 in CHAN 2024 final

"Tens of thousands of fans filled the Moi International Sports Centre in Nairobi on Saturday, as Morocco beat Madagascar 3-2 in the CHAN 2024 final and claimed their third African Nations Championship title. Footage shows cheering crowds during the award ceremony and festivities. The Moroccan team was seen celebrating victory and taking selfies with the acquired trophy. It comes after Morocco's star player, Oussama Lamlaoui, scored two goals and won the Golden Boot as the top scorer. His teammate Rabie Mohammed Hrimat was named the best player of the tournament. Madagascar scored first and later equalised in the second half before losing to Lamlaoui. Even though Madagascar lost, they were praised for reaching the final for the first time. Many Kenyan fans used the chance to call for Kenya to host the AFCON 2027 tournament. "We plead with the FIFA president or the CAF president to maybe, only Kenya, to host the AFCON 2027 because we have seen how the environment, the stadium, and the way Kenyan fans bring their atmosphere to the stadium. We plead to the Kenyan president, please bid for Kenya to host the AFCON 2027. We promise as Kenyan fans that we will be there to support Kenyan football," a fan said. The tournament was held across three countries, Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda, for the first time."
