TACLOBAN CITY — A total of 39,729  families, or 137,516 individuals, have been displaced across Eastern Visayas as Super Typhoon Uwan (international name: Fung-Wong) lashed the region with strong winds and heavy rains, according to a report from the Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8) on Sunday night.   The evacuees are currently housed in  459 evacuation centers out of 3,092 designated shelters across the six provinces and two cities of the region.  READ: Uwan downs power and communications, displaces over 63,000 in E.
